BJMP Caraga Empowers Jail Nurses and PDLs through Philhealth Orientation.
In a remarkable effort to enhance the quality of healthcare services for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Caraga, under the leadership of JCSUPT MARIA IRENE A ESQUINAS, Regional Director, successfully conducted a Philhealth Orientation.
This initiative, featuring resource speakers from Philhealth, aimed to equip jail nurses with the essential knowledge and tools required for the effective facilitation of the Philhealth registration process.
The event brought together dedicated jail nurses at BJMP Caraga conference room and PDL participants joining the orientation via the Google Meet application. The virtual setting allowed for widespread participation and efficient knowledge sharing.
The highlight of the orientation was the informative presentation delivered by Ms, Jane Santos, and Mr. Jerome Bajao, representatives from Philhealth. Their expertise provided valuable insights into Philhealth’s programs and services. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the benefits and coverage options available to PDLs through Philhealth.
The Philhealth orientation represents a significant step towards enhancing the quality of healthcare services within jail facilities. It underscores BJMP Caraga’s dedication to its mission of promoting humane safekeeping and development while upholding the rights and well-being of PDLs in the region.
