BJMP Caraga Regional Office personnel, spearheaded by Assistant Regional Director for Operations JSUPT ARVIN T ABASTILLAS, participated in the Community Clean-Up Drive Activity as part of the “Kalinisan sa Bagong Pilipinas Program” (Kalinga at Inisyatiba para sa Malinis na Bayan).
The event was conducted alongside the Brgy. Doongan Council, headed by Brgy. Chairman Hon. Gilberto Enriquez, together with the Doongan Integrated School principal, Ms. Remelie Cedro, faculty members, students, and volunteers, at the Doongan Integrated School in Butuan City.The Kalinisan Program is a convergent initiative that consolidates all government efforts to sustain and ensure a healthy, safe environment for everyone. It aims to empower local government units and encourage community involvement, rooted in the tradition of “Bayanihan.” This program also coincides with the celebration of Community Development Day, as stated in Proclamation No. 341.
Furthermore, the program seeks to embody the leadership ethos of a “Bagong Pilipinas,” advocating for comprehensive transformations across all sectors of society and government.
