25 ALS completers from Butuan City Jail Male and Female Dormitories received their diplomas as the Alternative Learning System Graduation and Completion Exercise took place.

Through the continuous partnership with the Department of Education – Alternative Learning System, another batch of completers received their diplomas. The activity was witnessed by the very active Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, JCSUPT MARIA IRENE A ESQUINAS together with the teachers from the DEPED, ALS implementers, Barangay Captain of Libertad, and guests including the families of the PDL.

This just proves that Education can really conquer any barriers, even the jail bars.
